If you’re looking for as much CPU power as possible in the price range below 1,500 Euros (~$1,696), the MSI Bravo 17 is exactly the right choice. The 17-inch gaming laptop is powered by the lightning-fast octa-core Ryzen 7 4800H.

After years of Intel setting the tone in the mobile CPU segment, AMD is now hitting back more and more. Not only does the Ryzen 7 4800H beat the Core i5-9300H, which is often built into similarly expensive laptops, but also the Core i7-9750H.
Unfortunately, the Bravo 17’s graphics card can’t quite keep up with the performance level. As a result, the Radeon RX 5500M is only sufficient for the upper mid-range, in which the GeForce GTX 1650 (about 20% weaker) and the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti (about 20% stronger) are also positioned.
A FreeSync-capable 120 Hz display takes care of the image reproduction, but it doesn’t shine very brightly and has to live with a poor color-space coverage. Furthermore, certain money-saving measures are noticeable in regard to the port configuration as well.
Overall, the Bravo 17 achieved a good 81% in our review.
