After a PlayStation Store listing was spotted overnight, Cuphead has been officially announced for PlayStation 4 via a Summer Game Fest livestream put on by host Geoff Keighley. Better yet, it’s available right now on the PlayStation Store for £15.99/$19.99. The upcoming Delicious Last Course DLC will also launch on PS4 day and date with other platforms.
What makes this release so interesting is the fact that Studio MDHR wanted to very quickly stamp out any possibility of a PS4 version all the way back in 2017. “There will be no PS4 version” is what was said at the time. Since then, Cuphead has released on Nintendo Switch and even Tesla cars of all places. Now, finally, it comes to Sony’s current-gen console.
